Welcome Reception on May 2nd
All participants are invited to a welcome drink in the evening of the congress’ first day at Oslo City Hall. The reception starts at 19:00. We recommend you to be there 15-30 minutes in advance. The doors will open at 18:30 and drinks are being served from 18:45. Included in the reception is also a guided tour of the City Hall.
The event is free but requires registration. You will receive your ticket for the welcome reception at the registration desk. Please note that you will need the ticket and your name badge for entering the City Hall.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the Congress Centre to the City Hall, which is located at the harbor (Rådhusplassen 1).
For public bus transport, you may take the bus from Brugata or Jernbanetorget. The following buses take you to Rådhuset (City Hall): 31 Snarøya, 30 Bygdøy, 54 Tjuvholmen.
The congress dinner will be held on May 3rd at Kanonhallen (Peter Møllers vei 2, Løren). The dinner will start at 19:00.
For bus transport, please meet in front of the Congress Centre at 18:45. You may also take the metro to Kanonhallen – line 4 in direction West (Vestli via Majorstuen) to Løren from the city centre. It takes 3-5 minutes to walk from Løren station to Kanonhallen (exit Peter Møllers vei).
Buses will take you back to the Congress Centre after dinner (22:45-23:45). Alternatively, you may take Metro line 4 to Bergkrystallen (via Storo) to the city centre.
The dinner includes drinks, a 3-course menu and entertainment.
Please bring your name badge. The name badge will serve as your entrance ticket.
Visits and activities
On May 3rd and 4th, we will organize visits for smaller groups to different elder care facilities in Oslo. More information can be found under Excursions in the Program Menu.
We will also invite all participants for a morning run and/ or for tai chi in the park:
- Morning run: All delegates are invited for a light morning run Thursday morning (3 May) at 8:00. Please meet in front of the main entrance of the Congress Centre. The morning run will last appr. 30 minutes.
- Tai Chi: Welcome to Tai Chi at 8:00 on Friday morning (4 May). Given the high number of participants, the session takes place at Youngstorget, the large square right in front of Oslo Congress Centre. As many of you will go directly to the 24NKG keynote sessions afterwards, you may wear whatever you like. No particular outfit is needed.
