The Nordic gerontological congresses emphasise multidisciplinary perspectives on ageing and the life course, and are organized every other year by one of the five Nordic countries. Traditionally a congress for Nordic researchers, the NKG has in recent years developed into an important meeting place attracting researchers from all over the world. The theme for this year’s congress is “Lessons of a life time”. This indicates that we want to not only address the state of being old but also highlight what matters on the journey individuals and societies travel to get there.
Registration opens Wednesday 2 May 10:00. 24NKGs Scientific Programme starts at 13:00 May 2nd and continues to Friday May 4th. The welcome reception is on Wednesday evening (registration required) and the Conference dinner is on Thursday evening (registration required).
